This case study released by the Electrification Coalition highlights the City of Des Moines, Iowa, following Des Moines’ journey to reducing emissions and deploying EVs in a cold climate. The Collaborative provided direction, insight, and vehicle recommendations through the use of the DRVE tool, which uses careful analysis to select the best vehicles for fleets on a city-by-city basis. The City utilized leasing to procure their Nissan LEAFs through the Collaborative and are on their way to full fleet electrification.
