States will soon start implementing programs to use VW settlement funds to reduce NOx emissions. One of the most powerful ways to cut these harmful emissions is to advance the deployment of zero emission vehicles.

We held a webinar on January 30, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm ET to share good practices on state funding programs that advance EV charging. Links to each speaker’s PowerPoint presentations is provided inline below.

Nick Nigro from Atlas Public Policy kicked things off with a very brief status of state activities using information we’ve been collecting for the Atlas EV Hub. Our expert speakers then shared their perspectives on strategies to construct successful state funding programs for EV charging.

We focused on three questions:

  1. What kind of charging is needed and where?
  2. What are the key elements of an EV charging program?
  3. How do we estimate NOx reductions for EV charging?

Our speakers:

We posted a Q&A document on the Atlas EV Hub SharePoint that summarizes all the questions we were able to answer during the meeting.
