On November 20th, 2018, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Iowa Department of Transportation announced a total of $7.65 million in VW Settlement funding for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
Missouri Announcement
The Missouri DNR announced they will award $2.75 million for projects that repower or replace trucks owned by a State or local government agency or a tribal government or native village.
The DNR will accept applications through December 31, at 5 p.m. CST.
Iowa Announcement
The Iowa DOT announced they are accepting applications for $4.9 million in funding for projects in Mitigation Categories 1,2, and 3 (School Buses, Shuttle Buses, Transit Buses, Freight Trucks, Port Drayage Trucks , and Non-Road Transport and Equipment). State agencies are not eligible for this program except for public transit system operators.
The DOT will accept applications through January 18, 2019 at 5 p.m. CST.
