Illinois Seeks Public Comment on Draft VW Mitigation Plan
The Illinois EPA will host three public outreach sessions on its draft Beneficiary Mitigation Plan (BMP) to use the state’s $108 million allocation from the Volkswagen settlement. Agency representatives will give an overview of the settlement and draft BMP, and answer questions and accept public input from attendees. Public outreach sessions will be held in three different locations to capture input across the state. The first event is being held today, May 23rd. The subsequent two events will be on May 24th and May 30th.
