On October 3rd Electrify America, the Volkswagen subsidiary in charge of distributing ZEV investment funds on behalf of VW, released its Cycle 2 Investment Plan for California. The plan defines how Electrify America proposes to spend the second $200 million of the $800 million to be invested. Overview of funding distribution is below.

The California Air Resources Board is reviewing the plan and will decide whether to approve the plan at its November 15-16 board meeting. During the meeting the Board will present the plan and then accept public comments orally or in writing. For those unable to attend, written comments will be accepted electronically or by mail until 5:00 pm October 26th. 

Cycle 2 Investment Plan Funding Overview:

  • $153 million for fueling infrastructure (including O&M)
  • $17 million for education, awareness, and outreach activities
  • $10 million for Electrify America’s efforts to drive station utilization
  • $20 million for operational expenses
