The City of Philadelphia has released its Clean Fleet Plan, which creates a new procurement direction for the City’s 6,000 municipal vehicles to phase out ICE procurement in favor of BEV and other alternative fuels. This is a part of the City’s broader 2030 goal to zero-out ICE procurement for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and reduces emissions by at least 45% from 2019 levels. Electrifying these fleet operations keep the City on track for achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
