SUMMARY:"Transportation Electrification in the Southeast" Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The fourth annual “Transportation Electrification in the Southeast” report\, published by Atlas Public Policy in collaboration with the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy\, will be released on Wednesday\, September 6. The report benchmarks progress on transportation electrification from July 2022 through June 2023 in six states across the Southeast: Alabama\, Florida\, Georgia\, North Carolina\, South Carolina\, and Tennessee. While the Southeast lags national averages in EV sales\, charging station deployment\, utility investment\, and public funding\, the region is a national leader in capturing EV-related investments and jobs with 40% of manufacturing investments and 35% of all announced manufacturing jobs to date.  \nOn Wednesday\, September 6 at 11:00 AM ET\, report authors and contributors from Atlas Public Policy and SACE will host a webinar focusing on report highlights\, including:  \n\nOver the past 12 months\, 5.9% of all new light-duty vehicles sold were EVs\, with three states topping the 7% market share threshold in the second quarter\nMore than 60\,000 of the nation’s announced EV manufacturing jobs will go to the Southeast\, with Georgia in the lead\nEV-related manufacturing investments increased 93% over the past 12 months\nThe Southeast saw a 60% increase in charging deployment in the past 12 months\, with Georgia in the per capita lead\nSoutheast utilities lag the national investment per capita in transportation electrification\, with Florida Power & Light investing the most per customer\nThough states have allocated very few new state funds to transportation electrification\, they have greatly increased access to available federal and VW Settlement funds\, with North Carolina leading the pack per capita \n\nClick Here to Register

SUMMARY:2023 State Transportation Electrification Scorecard
DESCRIPTION:Which states lead the way in advancing electric vehicles and what progress have they made over the last two years? Find out as ACEEE releases the second edition of the ACEEE State Transportation Electrification Scorecard\, which scores states across more than 40 policies to advance equitable vehicle electrification and reduce transportation emissions. \nThe last year has seen record levels of private and public investment in vehicle deployment\, EV and battery manufacturing\, and charging infrastructure. But there is still a long road ahead to electrifying all vehicles in the United States and delivering on the emissions reductions outlined in U.S. climate goals. States have a key role to play in planning for EV deployment\, implementing programs\, and ensuring the most vulnerable communities receive the benefits from electric vehicles. \nJoin ACEEE for a webinar to learn how states are accelerating the transition toward vehicle electrification. Attendees will hear from the report authors as they reveal the results of the scorecard\, and a discussion from leaders in California and New York on their states’ efforts and plans for the future. \n  \nClick Here to Register
