On September 19th, Pennsylvania announced that it would be accepting applications for grants and rebates for electric vehicle charging and hydrogen fueling stations through the Driving PA Forward program that is responsible for distributing the state’s $118 million in VW settlement funds.
Level 2 Charging Stations ($3 million, 2018)
$3 million will be made available for rebates for Level 2 charging stations located at workplaces, multi-unit dwellings, or on publicly accessible properties. Rebates will be distributed on a first come, first served basis until funds are exhausted. The application period opened September 20th.
DC Fast Charging and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Refueling ($3 million, 2019)
Up to $3 million will be available for the acquisition, installation, operation, and maintenance of fast-charging equipment and hydrogen fuel cell equipment through 2019. Grants will be limited to $500,000 per project and will be awarded as a reimbursement for completed projects. Application deadlines are January 25, July 15, and December 16, 2019.
More details and applications are available on the Driving PA Forward website.
The state will host webinars for both programs, which will be posted to the EV Hub calendar when more information is available.
