On July 21, 2020, Southwestern Public Service Company filed their transportation electrification plan for commission approval. SPS requests approval of its proposed TEP budget of $3,168,000 total for plan for 2021-2023. The program includes three main focus areas: residential charging, public fast charging, and advisory services for residential and fleet customers. The residential charging program includes one element specifically dedicated to underserved communities. SEP is proposing to own and operate 8 DC fast charging stations as well as 105 Level 2 charging stations as a part of the proposal.
