On January 11, 2021, the Public Service Company of Colorado, a subsidiary of Xcel Energy, was approved to offer their transportation electrification plan as required by Senate Bill 19-077. The $110 million plan will be implemented through 2023 and will support more than 20,000 charging stations. As a part of the plan, the company was approved for their Schedule EVC which proposed new rates and company ownership of DCFC stations. The final order increased the focus on equity in the plan and the entire plan includes a minmum carve-out of 15 percent for underserved communities. The approval also includes $12 million for innovative projects including school bus electrification.
