On June 28, 2019, Georgia Power filed a new rate case for the cost recovery of programs included in the 2014 Electric Transportation Pilot. The company is advocating for a ratebase increase to cover the cost of $3 million that has already been spent and an additional $3 million anticipated to be spent over the course of the project on capital expenses. The rate case was approved by the commission on December 17, 2019 and includes an additional $18 million to be spent on grid upgrades and infrastructure needed to support the growing EV charging network.
