SUMMARY:Sneak peek: Oregon’s new EV infrastructure & incentives
DESCRIPTION:ODOT & DEQ want your feedback! \nOregon fleet operators: get a sneak peek and share your input on two programs that are working to expand EV infrastructure and incentives! \nNew public Medium and Heavy Duty EV charging stations along I-5 and I-84 are in the works\, and the Oregon Department of Transportation is looking for fleet operators’ feedback on the types of chargers and amenities that would best support your fleet. \nA new Clean Fuels Advance Crediting program\, which would provide financial incentives for EV adoption\, will be launched soon by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. \nLearn about the program and share your input about how it could work. \nAnyone working in fleet operations in Oregon is welcome: whether your fleet currently has EVs\, or has considered adopting EVs in the future.

SUMMARY:Overcoming Obstacles in Transitioning Fleets to EVs: Mobile Charging Case Studies
DESCRIPTION:Is your fleet interested in electrifying but unable to install permanent charging infrastructure? Next month\, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is hosting their third session of their mobile charging solutions webinar series\, featuring mobile charging case studies.  \nMobile charging solutions help fleet owners electrify without the need for immediate large-scale investment in charging infrastructure and provide a pathway to electrification for electrification for fleets that lease their depots and fleets with space or grid constraints.

SUMMARY:Charging Ahead on Transportation Policy: An If/Then Event
DESCRIPTION:Over the past several months\, policies that aim to limit greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector have been repealed or slated for repeal. At the same time\, US biofuel policy has evolved in a different direction—tax credits have been extended and redesigned to favor domestic production\, while blending mandates are slated to rise. How will these changes affect the vehicle market\, technological innovation\, and the environment? \nJoin Resources for the Future (RFF) on Tuesday\, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. for a webinar with RFF’s scholars moderated by NPR’s Camila Domonoske to learn how recent policies and policy proposals may affect critical mineral development\, electric vehicle sales and the domestic auto industry\, greenhouse gas emissions\, sustainable aviation\, and more in the latest event in RFF’s If/Then series. \nSpeakers: \n\nBeia Spiller\, Fellow; Director; Transportation Program\, RFF\nJoshua Linn\, Senior Fellow\, RFF\nNafisa Lohawala\, Fellow\, RFF\nCamila Domonoske\, Correspondent\, NPR (Moderator)\n\n\n\n\n\n \n

SUMMARY:Good\, green jobs: Preparing for an inclusive electric freight workforce
DESCRIPTION:Globally\, road transport accounts for more than 60 million direct jobs\, representing over 2% of global employment. Freight makes up a large proportion of these jobs – by 2030\, light truck or delivery service drivers are predicted to be the second largest growing jobs globally. The transition to electric transport is underway\, and the changes are bringing new workforce challenges and opportunities. \nThis white paper\, ‘Good\, green jobs: Preparing for an inclusive electric freight workforce’\, focuses on assessing the workforce implications of decarbonising and electrifying the urban freight sector in North and Latin America. It gives an overview of what the common workforce needs\, barriers\, inclusivity opportunities\, and training requirements are likely to be\, and highlights public and private sector case studies which have the potential to address these evolving workforce requirements. Finally\, there are high-level recommendations for cities and the private sector to support the creation and growth of good\, green jobs in urban freight. \nC40 Cities will be discussing its new white paper on the electric freight workforce on Tuesday\, March 25th. \nRegister here: Webinar Registration – Zoom
